Met Eireann Ireland Warnings of bad weather as severe storm hits

The Met Eireann warns that Ireland will be hit by two days of thunderstorms as we bid farewell to a small heat wave.

National Forcaster predicts that heavy rains could lead to flooding somewhere even though the contact remains at 20°C.

The day will be mostly dry with misty spells of sunshine and a few scattered rain with temperatures staying around 22°C dropping to low teens overnight.

Tonight there will be an outbreak of rain although it will get mild and humid overnight, so if you have any problems sleeping Thursday night, you won’t be stuck on the sheets tonight.

Here’s what the weekend and beginning of next week look like according to Met Eireann:

Tomorrow: a cloudy and cloudy start with scattered rain. Shines during the afternoon with sunrises and showers, and some heavy rain and thunderstorms likely. The highest temperatures are from 17 to 20 degrees, in light of light to moderate eastern breezes veering south during the afternoon and evening.»

Sunday: “It will bring slow-moving downpours accompanied by thunderstorms leading to flooding. And some short sunny periods or sunny as well. Humid and moderately warm with temperatures above 16-20°C, in light to moderate southern breeze, veering towards southwest and revives near the Atlantic coasts.»

Monday: «It will bring more heavy rain mixed with sunny spells. Later in the day more prolonged rain is likely to fall in the southern parts with renewed easterly winds. Highest temperatures from 16 to 19 degrees.»
